After long hours of practicing, stressing and waiting for pageant day...it came and passed (on Saturday) and I won!!!! Now, on to Philadelphia to get the national title!!!!

I absolutely love lavender. Especially lately. Actually this is more of an orchid but regardless...BEAUTIFUL. And you know how I feel about jumpsuits. They're just so comfortable and stylish. A win-win combination. Maria Menounos...Kudos.





With summer being here, I'm really on the lookout for some cute minidresses. STYLE TIP: These are great examples...one thing you have to be careful with though, is the length of the dress. Of course, because it's a MINI dress it will be short but be sure to keep the top part of your body covered since your legs will be exposed. If you expose more than one part of your body, you tend to go from stylish to sleazy.



Now that I'm back in the work force, I've been looking for inspiration to jazz up the typical work look. I really like Sienna Miller's take on pairing gauchos with a blazer. Actually, I wore a variation of that outfit for my interview. Great work or even lunch/dinner look. Pair it with some great sandals and great accessories to complete the look.

So I have finally moved into the new house and our realtor, Carisa, gave us the cutest gift! She put together a basket with homemade pasta, pasta sauce and wine with a candle and these postcards her husband created with a picture of our new home and the address for us to send to famiy and friends.

I'm very blessed. So far 2009 has been the best year ever and I have a feeling it's only going to get better.

Took a trip to the bookstore the other day and came across these interesting (and aesthetically pleasing to the eye) titles. The first is How to Shop for a Husband by Janice Lieberman. I haven't read the book but the title and art work on the cover alone is good enough reason to indulge in this book. I'm not sure about the details, but the comic relief in the book is good enough for me.

Chic U is just the cutest book possible. (You know I'm biased towards anything pink and cute.) Written by Christie Garton, founder of UniversityChic.com, this read is the ultimate "college girl's guide to everything." Once again, I haven't read this book either, but after wandering around on Garton's website I'm convinced she knows what she's talking about. If you're in college and clueless (which if you're in college you are clueless) you MUST get this book and check out this website.
