Mattieologie: Dear Maizah // 3 MonthsYou are so smart and funny. Last month you were a good sleeper, but now that I've gone back to work I've noticed you've been waking up a couple times at night. I think you're going through a growth spurt and realizing how you much don't see me and Daddy during the day. It's tough for all three of us, but I think we're going to get through it.

Christmas with you was a blast. You actually turned exactly 3 months on Christmas Day. Even though you had no idea what the holidays were, we had a blast with you. Your grandpa sent you the cutest Santa/elf outfit that we all got a kick out of. We even had a pajama party on Christmas Eve. Naturally, you had the best pajamas.

You're so into your closet and your clothes. You looked at your closet a couple of weeks ago for a few seconds and then gave the biggest smile. I took it as you being pleased with your wardrobe.

You are completely and totally obsessed with "Bo on the Go" on Netflix. You get so happy when you hear the theme song starts and you giggle at least 5 times throughout each episode - which by the way we've watched at 10 times each at this point. Anything for your smile.

While I pray for you every single day, I caught your father praying over you after he put you to sleep and so I've made it a habit to pray over you every night. He's been doing it for a while, but it took me a few days to realize what he was doing. You guys are the best of buds and he comes up with new nicknames for you like every week. This week it's "Munch" because you literally try to eat everything. EVERYTHING. The water when you're taking a bath, then the washcloth. Last night, you even started chewing Daddy's hand when you couldn't reach the washcloth which sent him into incessant laughter.

Every detail about you is my favorite - from those chunky legs to those steel gray eyes. You challenge me in every way possible which is only trumped by how happy you make me. You've made me stronger, more patient and more attentive. And I can't thank you enough for that.

I love you.

Love,

Mommy
