The thing that gets me most excited about the fall is the clothes of course. I've been trying my best to keep it together, but I finally had to break out my fall boots.

I like all types of boots - ankle boots, knee high boots, flat boots, but there's something about thigh high boots that always make such a statement. I will say though, if you're both short and petite like me, it can be tough to find a pair that fits, feels AND looks good. That's why I love these boots from Dolce Vita that I got from Zappos.

Now, even though I'm petite, my legs aren't skinny skinny per se. So I typically don't have trouble finding boots that fit my calves. These aren't fitted on me, but have just enough room in the case I ever want to wear them with jeans or thick leggings as the weather cools.

One of my favorite things about this pair of boots, is that it has a stacked heel which makes them incredible comfortable. What I also find that helps comfort with boots like these? The right socks. Not too thick, or too thin.

And then lastly, they look good. I mean they're black (always bet on black - especially with boots) and suede, which is one of my go to textures for cooler weather. I love pairing suede and leather together, which is why I opted for this kind of skirt.

I get excited about layering once October hits, hence why I'm wearing two shirts and a vest. Elle oh elle. You know I will always find a place for denim and blush in my wardrobe. And when I wear it, I'm more likely to David my Goliath.
