I’m a sucker for a blazer with skinny jeans. But as my personal style grows I’m becoming sort of obsessed with fit, as it is the “it” factor in style. I’m short, so skinny jeans can drown me if they don’t hit me right at my ankle. Jeans are casual, so I like to make sure they fit perfectly. I cut these right at my ankle to make them the perfect length. As a short person, when jeans pass my ankles they make look smaller than I already am. I also like the light fray of the denim after it’s cut versus having the jeans hemmed. Hemming is best for pants, skirts & dresses. But because jeans are more casual, I prefer to take exact measurements and cut them. This is where I would say, "That’s what works for me,” but saying "my blog, my rules" seems slightly more original.
