Honestly, though, she did such a great job for her first flight. Going, she slept for about 75% of the flight so she was an angel. LOL. Coming, she was up the whole time but only fussed a handful of times. I think it was her ears. I read that I should feed her during take off and landing but I was only able to pull that off during take off. Nonetheless, she's not really a crier so I pulled it off. The guy sitting next to us was so sweet and completely baffled that she was so good. He was nice enough to snap this quick photo of us.
When we arrived she was so fascinated by her reflection on the ceiling in the airport. And then became to cool for us as we arrived at the hotel.
We stayed at the Omni in Fort Worth and they were so nice and accommodating. Between the car seat/carrier and stroller plus her diaper bag we had quite the baggage so we asked the hotel for a crib which they provided. I brought brand new crib sheets for her to sleep on. I was worried because she still sleeps in her bassinet at home but she slept gloriously. While downtown Fort Worth was fairly quiet, we got the chance to check out the Fort Worth Water Gardens across the street. There was this cool step mountain with awesome walls. I also learned that Maizah loves falling asleep during a walk in her stroller. Will definitely be one of my go to mom tricks.
We're so blessed that some of Chris' family lives in Fort Worth and that I have the best mother in law in the world who flew in for a day to watch Maizah while we attended Chris' work event. It was great to see family. The baby took a liking to her cousin's fedora and gave it a try.
She did a lot of sitting up on her own which she's been very excited about as well.
I was really excited to get a few hours of just me and Hubs time for this smancy fancy dinner we had to attend. Hubs looked so handsome in his midnight blue suit while I wore this amazing suit by Yetunde Sarumi.
The dinner ended right when the fight started but I had to pump and by the time I was done it had ended. LOL. Ended saving $100 on a fight with a predictable outcome. But I had a blast hanging with my husband baby free for a handful of hours.
Our last day there, I woke up to these two love muffins hanging out looking out the window. We took a morning walk in downtown Fort Worth and grabbed some breakfast while the baby took her morning nap. A quick work trip that happened to be Maizah's first plane trip and it went very well. I had a handful of pics (some that I've already shared via Instagram) and thought I'd share.
